For me this year, fall looks so different. I am preparing for my baby girl to enter the world (due December 2020) so I am not offering Christmas mini sessions this year and my fall bookings are already full! This time of year everyone starts looking for gift ideas for families, and as excited as I am for the next chapter, I have to admit – I am kind of going to miss the winter photography things!

Gifting printed and framed photos

Do you know what breaks a photographer’s heart? Beautiful photos that live as digital files that never get used. If you are looking for gift ideas for families or newlyweds, consider reaching out to their photographer to purchase photos from a recent session and having them printed and framed. This is SUCH an incredible and thoughtful gift. I can’t tell you how many couples and families invest in photography and only end up using the photos for social media and to “save for later”. This is a great way to give the gift of memories in a way that can be more affordable than gifting a new session!

Want to have a little more fun with it? Have your images printed on items like mugs or a canvas for them! Just make sure to use a high-resolution photo so that the image doesn’t look pixelated. Something like a mug they will use everyday which makes it even more special!

Or, give them a credit for creating their own fine art album. I will likely write a whole blog post on this one day but wedding albums (or really, any photo album) are SO worth it.
