What do you call a friend you sometimes make plans with but usually cancel or reschedule to next week. Or sometimes just forget about until a few days later when you see them again?

 

For too many of us, they’re called our spouse.

 

Weddings are beautiful and are the result of so much planning and thoughtfulness culminating in one amazing day. And then it’s over and you are going to be with the love of your life for the rest of your life and go home in marital bliss.

 

Now wait a minute…

I’m five years in, and that “marital bliss” gets shaky on the daily.

What I still take and apply from my wedding day is the decision I made to choose Pascal, every day, regardless of morning breath (Jk that’s a me issue) or job stress.

My number one word of advice to people planning weddings is not what they want to hear in the midst of floral arrangements and seating plans, but its important, its that if you want to keep growing in your relationship,

You need to intentionally spend time together

I thought the best thing I can do for a newly wed is take some of the stress off your shoulders and brainstorm weekly date night ideas for the first year of your marriage, or maybe the 10th year, either way,
