We have our first wedding venue feature on the blog! I spent some time at Pine and Pond last month and I have to say, this Alberta wedding venue is INCREDIBLE. Only an hour south of Edmonton and so worth the drive. If you are looking for a luxurious outdoor wedding experience, I can’t imagine a better venue. It’s uniquely suited for Albertan’s too: with a crystal clear tent to enjoy the stars (but protect you from the unpredictable Alberta weather) and yes, easy camping accommodation for your wedding guests, there are somethings that only we can appreciate. Pine and Pond weddings have it all.
Before I dive into the details (don’t worry, I won’t hold back), can I just give you a huge welcome to my corner of the internet? I’m Katie, the woman behind the camera here at Katie Ruegg photography. I have been an Edmonton wedding photographer for three years now and I have to say, the love stories here just light me up. I’ve lived in Edmonton my entire life (and yes, even convinced my Swiss husband to move here with me despite the fact that Switzerland is super dreamy). The truth is, I love Alberta and there is nowhere else I would rather be.
If you are looking for an Edmonton wedding photographer to take your dream prairie wedding photos, love on your rustic wedding decor, be excited for every part of your love story, I’m your girl. You can learn more about my wedding photography packages and pricing here, or contact me here and we can just have a conversation. It’s an ongoing joke around here that I hate marketing but I love connecting with people. Let’s just meet for a coffee and chat about your wedding photos already.
All Inclusive Venue Packages in Alberta
Can I be honest? I hate being nickel and dimed to death (which can happen SO easily in the wedding industry). That was one of the things that first attracted me to Pine and Pond weddings (immediately after the gorgeous vibe, obviously). Instead of having many different packages, they have one great package that feels all inclusive, and you can chose a one day option or two day option. Easy. You just pick your package, pick your vendors (oh, hi), and pick your wedding decor (they have lots of options!).
Wedding Locations at Pine and Pond
When you rent Pine and Pond, you are the only wedding that day. There are SO many incredible places to take outdoor wedding photos that as a photographer, my heart sings. From a rustic barn to a row boat (for the more adventurous couples), make sure to leave lots of time for photos so we can take full advantage.
Did I mention the ceremony location is surrounded by a large U-shaped pond with a waterfall and fountain? And that their reception venue is a large, clear topped wedding tent so you can see then stars? with 4 chandeliers? Seriously is there anything they don’t have?
Why a 2 Day Wedding Package?
First, two days are better than one. And second, you won’t have a regular rehearsal dinner, you’ll have a cool rehearsal! At Pine and Pond wedding venue, they have a fire pit for s’mores (fire wood included!) and a dedicated game area with a volleyball court, bocce ball, giant jenga, frisbees, and literally anything else you could ask for.
Micro Wedding Packages
Coming in hot after the pandemic – I have a feeling that intimate celebrations and micro weddings are going to continue to be a thing! Pine and Pond have two different options for your micro wedding. First, a backyard wedding option that can be booked within 90 days (perfect if you want to get married NOW but want to have a big party next year). Second, they have an intimate package, which is essentially their all inclusive wedding packages for only 25 guests.
Camping Accommodation for your Wedding Guests
Although there is no camping on site, a neighbour created a campsite for your guests to book. That way, they can enjoy your wedding responsibly! Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a great night with friends and family camping? And especially now that I’m a mom, more than ever I appreciate the easy access to responsible decision making!
Pine and Pond Weddings
So now that you are convinced that Pine and Pond weddings are both stunning and logistically-dreamy (is that a thing?), you just need to book your photographer! Just kidding – kind of. But seriously, if you are planning to get married at Pine and Pond (or really any Edmonton wedding venue) and are looking for a wedding photographer, let’s chat! I am already counting down the days until I can go back. In the meantime, let’s be friends on Instagram!
